What makes a one-hit-wonder? We honor the artists, composers and producers who put these gems on the charts. Some songs are unique windows to a certain time and place, others have enduring legacies as well, and continue to influence today’s music. We will celebrate different periods (60’s, 70’s, 80’s, etc.) in each of our shows, and attempt to illuminate the social/historical milieus from which they emerge, and explore a little of theirs and their creator’s histories. Different guest vocalist will be out front for some of the tunes. And yes! Enjoy the songs (dancing and singing encouraged!)

The Excursions are: Mike Brown, Liz Laury, Willie Barrera, Jeff Single, Marc Wise and Woody Moise).   We play a variety of styles of music:  rock, reggae, blues, Americana;  acoustic and electric; small ensemble and full band.  Our music features multiple instrumentation, strong harmonies, original material, and selected, not-always-common covers.

Rogue veterans and Fresno natives, we perform in and around Fresno at fundraisers, clubs, events, and backyard parties.  We play because we love the music, and to see our audiences enjoy what we bring to them.  We are especially excited to be playing for this year’s Rogue Festival, it will be a delight to cover this music. We can be contacted at 831-707-4480 or 559-999-6716, or on our website: theexcursionsband.com or Facebook: www.facebook.com/TheExcursionsBand

Wiggle in your seat or get up and dance trip down memory land and all those songs you know (but can never remember the artist). Grab a beer at Goldsteins and have a fun listen.

Oh Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind. Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey! A mix of songs and medleys that take you back to days gone by! Super fun show for cheap! Added bonus…intermittent bits of song trivia and nostalgia.
